you love me
but
you are caught
between
two worlds
split in half
old world
new world
longing
to
be
accepted
by
both
except
you love me
you can't decide-
where you fit.
pain
worry
fear
tear you up
but
you love me
you show it-
they're set in their ways
they refuse to see
they refuse to admit
that
you love me
Still reading and still loving this. I did go back and read your responses to my comments and am glad I wasn't reading into it. Great stuff--I'm thrilled you've found an outlet in writing, since it's giving the rest of us some terrific poetry to read.
ReplyDeleteI hope you keep going and still think this could end up as a bound collection. I'm starting to imagine some black and white or sepia toned photo scenes as I read. No people--maybe blurred though, or hands together or laying inches apart or something artsy like that, or maybe just images of some type. Are you by any chance also a painter or photographer?
i am not an artist or much of a photographer. i have a few gems that come out. i like how you are plotting out how it should look all together. i'm glad you're enjoying it.
